Brad Hompe has done everything and he has seen everything, which means he knows how to build a strategy for dealing with everything that may come along. There is no denying that Brad Hompe has a lot of experience in the field of corrections, but at the heart of it all is a whole lot of education. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice and psychology from Winona State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.

In addition, he has earned law enforcement certifications from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, MN, as well as Firefighter I Certification that he earned from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin.In addition to leading the development and implementation of corrections programs at every level, Brad has provided a wide range of services in prisons and jails at one time or another, and he has provided them throughout Wisconsin and around the country. Heworked his way up through the ranks, starting as a corrections officer, sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, unit manager and deputy warden and, eventually, warden.

In working his way up the ladder at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), Brad Hompe has held virtually every position that exists. He started as a prison staff employee, but he has also been a jail inspector and as an instructor and trainer, all based on his immense experience, starting as a corrections officer, then being promoted to Sergeant, then Lieutenant, then Captain, then unit manager and deputy warden, before eventually being promoted to prison warden. He has done it all, and others at WI-DOC appreciate his knowledge and skill.

Nowadays, those looking for Brad Hompe will find him working as a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for WI-DOC, the same agency he has worked with for many years. Since he has held virtually every position there is with the state prison system, he is considered an expert by nearly everyone in the corrections sector. Brad has provided a wide range of services to jails and prisons in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
